It bewilders me why anyone would feed a round bale in this manner
I have known horses who have died of botulism from eating round bales
Don’t care how good you think forage is , you have no idea what is in it
I have seen dead birds, mice and even a rabbit.
I would even break up a small square bale before feeding to my horse
At our barn we feed round bales and all horses are vaccinated for botulism- why take the risk
Hi Lisa, the prices of the Round Bale Haysaver nets can be found here: https://www.naturalhorseworldstore.com/slowfeed-hay-nets/. I hope you can find something to suit your needs.
Cheers, Cynthia.
