Our story

One paddock. One question. A lifetime of listening.

Natural Horse World started when Cynthia Cooper noticed her horses were calmer and more cooperative the less equipment she used — and kept following the answer.

A clinic that changed everything

After years of breeding, training and showing Arabians on the family’s Tasman Peninsula property — and growing disillusioned with the competitive world’s harsh methods — Pat Parelli’s first Tasmanian clinic reignites Cynthia’s passion for horses.

The instructor path

Cynthia qualifies as a natural horsemanship instructor, then moves towards positive reinforcement and liberty-based training — an approach that better matches her values and the horses she works with.

A newsletter to students

Natural Horse World begins as a blog and newsletter for Cynthia’s students: fifty years of hands-on equine knowledge, shared freely. It has stayed free and ad-free ever since.

The LightRider bitless bridle

Every horse rode more relaxed in a halter than in a bit — but a halter lacked finesse. Years of research and testing lead to the LightRider range, which has since helped thousands of riders worldwide ride bit-free.

Today

Same paddock. Same question.

The herd still lives out together. Every product in the store is tested and endorsed by Cynthia’s own horses (and a mule) before it goes on sale. Some things shouldn’t scale.

What we believe

Three promises, kept daily

Horse first, sale second

If a product doesn’t make a horse’s life better, it isn’t stocked — every item is tested on our own herd before it reaches the store.

Knowledge stays free

Every guide and article is free to read, and ad-free. Education shouldn’t sit behind a checkout.

Australian owned, ships worldwide

Run from a rural Tasmanian property by horse people — with a $10 flat rate within Australia and tracked options overseas.

Meet the range the herd approved.

Bitless bridles, bareback pads, slow feed nets and natural horse care — chosen with your horse’s comfort in mind.
