Description
For your horse’s safety, it’s ideal to have a break-away option on a rope halter or rope bitless bridle.
If your horse gets hung up accidentally, a breaking point is essential. Rope won’t break – but your horse will!
- The advantages of each breakaway are:
- Neoprene: washable, vegan, breaks easier than leather.
- Leather: stronger and can be written on (to identify horse/owner)
- Made from top quality leather or double thickness neoprene and fits 6 and 8mm halter rope.

Second purchase of the neoprene breakaway, for my grandchildren”s new pony, simple to use, excellent product, takes all the worry out of using a rope halter.

I bought both the leather and neoprene break aways as I have two rope bitless bridles for my two ridden horses. Both take the worry out of using rope bridles, the leather one looks classier but I actually prefer the neoprene one as it is less bulky and so simple to use.

These are a brilliant piece of gear. I used to soft tie my horse with baling twine, until my horse pulled back and I fractured my finger which became caught up in the twine. The baling twine didn’t break as it is supposed to do. They]se break-aways provide safety for the trainer and protection from injury to the horse .
