Postbiotic Gut Support is a powerful yet natural way to give your horse’s digestive system the boost it needs. It contains a proprietary strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, specially selected to support:
- Immune health by helping reduce systemic inflammation and improving antioxidant levels
- Digestive balance by encouraging healthy bacteria in the lower gut
- Gut structure and function by supporting gut morphology
As a postbiotic, this supplement delivers all the goodness produced when gut bacteria ferment fibre—called beneficial metabolites. These natural compounds help strengthen both digestive and immune function, while also nourishing your horse’s gut microbiome so it can thrive.
A healthier, more diverse gut community means your horse can better break down and absorb nutrients from their feed—providing more energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals with every feed.
- XPC is the most concentrated form, more concentrated than Diamond V.
- Safe for laminitis-prone or insulin-resistant (IR) horses and for all horses, including foals, mares and stallions.
- Postbiotic Gut Support (TruEquine C/Diamond V XPC) can be fed with any of the mineral mixes, Equine Amino, Hydrate Support, and Mycosorb A+.
Feeding rate per day according to the manufacturer, Diamond V:
Feeding rate = 23 mg/kg body weight (was 46 mg/kg body weight) so effectively halved.
Multiply your horse’s body weight BW x 0.023 to get the amount in grams per day.
For example:
- 200 kg BW: 4.6 g/day
- 350 kg BW: ~8 mg/day
- 400 kg BW: ~9 g/day
- 450 kg BW: ~10.3 g/day
- 500 kg BW: 11.5 g/day
- 600 kg BW: ~14 g/day (was 28 grams)
1 metric volume tablespoon measure (20 ml) contains approximately 14 grams Postbiotic Gut Support.
This will depend on the density, and how tightly packed the spoon is.
Mix with feed. Ideally, divide the amount between meals if feeding more than once per day.

I have a young colt who arrived here in Dec 2021 aged 8 months and he was in a very poor state, i was worried about his condition and overall wellbeing its taken some time for him to start looking well and actually put on some weight, hes slowly improved since ive introduced the XPC , i can definately see the improvement and it will be interesting to watch how he comes through the very cold weather.
